The unspeakable joy that awaits her in heaven is the hope and promise of those who look forward to a reunion with her in eternity. “Family I fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I kept my faith and now I’m gone to enjoy the master’s joy. Nannette answered the master’s call to “come home” from her residence in Winston-Salem, NC on Thursday, July 13, 2023, following a period of illness. Nannette was preceded in death by Harold B. Nannette was a devoted member of Beauty of the West #36 (O.E.S.) and Sethos Court #105 (D.O.I.). On Sundays because of her joy of working with children, she spent Sunday morning working in the Church’s Sunday Child Care Room at Peace Haven Baptist Church. Not only was she a joy to have as a staff member but the children truly adored her as much as she did them. She continued in this roll even after deciding to go back to WSFCS. where she was the Child Nutrition Director. She later went to work for Northwest Child Development Centers, Inc. Upon returning to Winston-Salem, she was Employed with the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools (WSFCS) as a cafeteria director at J F Kennedy. She began her early Christian Education at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.įollowing high school graduation, Nannette married, raised her boys, and traveled for a number of years. She was educated in the public schools of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and graduated from East Forsyth High School. Higgins in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on September 6, 1962.
